Welcome to the ROM Chocolate website. By browsing this website or placing an order, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
This website is operated by ROM Chocolate, located on Mar Elias Street, Sin El Fil, Lebanon. You can reach us at +961 3 561 517 or sales@romchocolate.com.
2. Our Products
- Our chocolates, dragées and arrangements are prepared by hand. Small variations in color, shape, decoration and packaging may occur and are part of their handmade character.
- Product photos are for illustration. Seasonal packaging and decorations may differ slightly from the images shown.
- Allergens: our products may contain or come into contact with milk, nuts, peanuts, soy, gluten and eggs. If you have an allergy, please contact us before ordering.
3. Prices
Prices are shown on the website at the time of your order. Delivery fees are shown at checkout before you confirm. We may update prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that we have already confirmed.
4. Orders
- After you place an order, we will contact you to confirm it. Your order is accepted once we confirm it.
- We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable, if there is an error in the price or description, or if we cannot reach you to confirm the order. If this happens, we will inform you and refund any amount already paid.
5. Payment
For now, orders are paid by cash on delivery. Online card payment and payment with Whish are coming soon. When they are available, payments will be processed by secure payment providers and we will not store your card details.
6. Delivery
We deliver across Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Delivery fees, timing and conditions are described on our Delivery Options page.
7. Cancellations
- Standard orders can be cancelled free of charge until we start preparing them. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Once your order is prepared or on its way, it can no longer be cancelled.
- Custom, wedding and event orders (including personalized dragées, decorations and large orders) can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled delivery date. After that, materials have been purchased and preparation has started, so the order cannot be cancelled and the full amount is due.
- We may need to cancel an order because of circumstances beyond our control. In that case we will contact you and refund any amount already paid.
8. Returns
Because our products are food items, we do not accept returns or exchanges, for reasons of hygiene and food safety.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please tell the delivery person and contact us within 24 hours with a photo. We will review it and offer a replacement or a refund for the affected items.
9. Storage and Use
Chocolate is sensitive to heat and humidity. Once delivered, please store your products in a cool, dry place and consume them before the date indicated. We are not responsible for products that are damaged after delivery because of improper storage.
10. Limitation of Liability
We do our best to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, ROM Chocolate is not liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of this website or of our products.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including the ROM Chocolate name and logo, texts, photos and designs, belongs to ROM Chocolate and may not be copied or used without our written permission.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Lebanon.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to all orders placed after its publication.
